Ingredients:
1 90g bar of good quality fair trade dark chocolate, 75% or above is recommended,
8 Medjool Dates,
1 jar of good quality Peanut Butter (palm oil free),
2 tablespoons of desiccated Coconut,
1/2 a teaspoon of Cinnamon powder,
1/2 a teaspoon of Cardamom powder,
1 small handful of dried Lavender,
1 small handful of dried edible Rose petals.
Method:
Prepare your dates, making an incision and removing the seeds, do not cut all the way through as the dates will make your cases for the peanut butter. Once prepped, add 1 teaspoon of peanut butter to each date, close firmly and place them on a baking sheet or plate to then freeze for an hour. In small bowl, add you desiccated coconut, cinnamon and cardamom powder and mix well, ready to sprinkle. In a bain marie, break apart your chocolate and add to a bowl to fully melt, remove from the heat once melted. Remove the frozen peanut butter dates from the freezer, with two tablespoons, dip and roll the dates individually in the melted chocolate and place on a plate with some parchment paper on top to avoid sticking. Quickly sprinkle the coconut, cardamom and cinnamon mix and then add a pinch of lavender and rose on top. Repeat, adding the dates in melted chocolate, and add other ingredients on top. Once all dates are all done, add to the freezer again until the chocolate has fully set. These Venusian Herbal Bites can be kept in the fridge, in an air tight container and recommend to consume within 7 days... if they last that long!
Enjoy and happy indulging!
